Sport and social facilities for Universiade 2019 will be built according to «green standards». They are going to be used in Krasnoyarsk for the first time.

It was stated by the minister of Natural Resources and Environment Elena Vavilova at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum which was devoted to «green economy».

These standarts comprise the «environmental safety» requirements: the usage of environmentally friendly materials and renewable energy sources. Elena Vavilova also emphasized energy-saving lamps with solid-state lighting, an automatic control and regulation system of lighting (which is depends on a time of day), the usage of generated heat for hot water supply and etc. The Advantages of «green standards» are obvious: these are reduction of waste and saving of recources.

«Green standards» have already been used in a development of summer Universiade 2014 in Kazan and Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi. All responsible persons and contracting authorities were certified according to them.

The reconstruction of 25 sport, social and infrastructure objects are in the planning stage. The World Student Games will take place between 2nd and 12th March 2019.
